One of the reasons I don’t like and try not to use social media is the firestorm that any conversation inevitably turns into. Really, it’s not necessary.

I thought I’d avoid anything similar on this blog by disabling comments. However, a few people have asked if I can change that and as I know you’re all a reasonable and considerate lot I’ve changed that setting. I have left on the feature that means I have to moderate them.

I’m still working on my video. I’d obviously not make a good YouTuber as weeks to edit a video wouldn’t maintain an audience. It is a bit of a masterpiece if I do say so myself. Lots I could improve on by it’s all a learning process.

It’s harvest time here. The oranges have changed from yellow to orange in the last few weeks. Locals are harvesting the olives and the fruit. For the olives, they use machines that shake the tree with netting underneath to catch the fallen fruit. Is an olive a fruit or a nut?

The first time you came here there would have been a pop up asking you to subscribe to receive notifications. Some did and some didn’t which is fine.

I just thought I’d explain that it’s as mailing list I can use to let you know about update when I think it’s appropriate. I think I’ve sent two emails so far, in over three months. It’s not a list that automatically emails you every time I post. So, in case you want to change your mind and subscribe, here’s a link to do it. Subscribe with this link.

It’s interesting to see how it’s working, even with only two emails sent.

  1. Here I am checking if I can leave a comment.

Feel free to say something witty. Constructive criticism and suggestions also most welcome.
