If some nasty people scam your old lady friend so that she commits suicide, then you need…….the Beekeeper.

Interesting. I noticed a strange looking telegraph pole while walking Vaea and took a closer look. It’s a composite pole and erected this year. Less then 3000 before this one so obviously a new initiative.

A nice moody photo through the bedroom window.

The past couple of weeks has been pretty miserable. The incessant rain has limited activities and made everything more difficult.
Sitting out in the warm evening with a beer and the guitar seems a distant memory. Now, it’s shedding wet clothes and cocooning inside Lorenzo. A dog needs walking twice a day, irrespective of the weather. Especially Vaea. She not a lie around all day dog. But that’s the way I like it.

Sunday was a day out for Vaea. I thought she’d like to see what flyball was all about, so we drove for just over an hour to Luchapt, in very nice surroundings, and met some very nice people. We ate a burger for lunch and drank coffee while we watched the competition. She got a chance to try for herself and also had a play on the agility course. Had we not been leaving the area, this would have been good for her.
Here’s their Facebook post with more photos.
My recommendation if you want to understand dogs a little more is this free documentary on YouTube : “Man’s First Friend“. It might make you cry…it did me.
Today after a drive to Poitiers and back I finished the fastenings for the window. The blind and fly screen are in place and now I know what to do when the larger (1450mm x 550mm) window arrives, hopefully this week.
Adrian has called and the trip to Spain is now on. It might be the end of the month or early next month but he’ll be taking the ferry into Dieppe, hopefully with Adam, and driving down through France. We’ll meet up and continue all the way to Spain.
Adrian’s camper and Adam’s bus. It’ll make an interesting convoy. That’s a cute looking bus.
