Time travel

It’s been over 21 years since we packed up, as a family, and left Nottingham to make our new home in the small town of Civray in Mid-west France.

I used to come back every week for work initially and that went on for a year or two but tailed off. We have made brief stops there a few times when the kids and I have been back but not very often.

As a result, it’s all changed rather a lot. I’ve been here a couple of weeks now and it’s been a strange experience. Lots of memories have come flooding back when I see things that haven’t changed. Other things have disappeared and been replaced by new stuff.

Last week I spent a very enjoyable evening catching up with Kevin and Wendy. On Saturday night “The Lads” (except Martin Turton who wasn’t around) went out for an Indian meal on Lenton Boulevard in Nottingham. They were very understanding when we remained at the table for well over an hour just catching up after we’d finished eating.

Messing around with old cars.

Also….Sunday lunch cooked by Steven. 😁

I think it’s been a while since I posted a picture of Vaea so here we are.
