Sterilisation time

We can’t have puppies, or trails of blood in the confined living space. Plus, I don’t have the skills, time, inclination or desire to raise and sell or give away puppies.

So…..it’s time for the snip.

We’ve been together for almost 24/7 since she was a few months old. Apart from a couple of hours in her crate when I went to yoga or keep fit that is. So, this was a bit stressful. Dropped her off just after 8 in the morning and collected her at 3 in the afternoon. Handed over a fistful of Euros and eased her into the car to come home. She was groggy and unsteady on her feet and dribbling like a drunk at a chip shop window on a Saturday night. It all collected in her cone of shame as she sat in the car. I thought it wise not to let her stick her head out of the window.

The vet said no walks for 10 days but Vaea lives for her walks so I had to take her out for 20 minutes this morning. Just made sure she didn’t spot any chaseable wildlife.

After a night’s sleep she actual seems as right as rain. She doesn’t seem intent on worrying her wounds so the cone has come off. She’s had some zoomies round Lorenzo (the lorry) so it can’t be that painful.
