Stargazing

My stop for last night was chosen to be as far away from light pollution as possible and parked in a pull off near the top of some mountains, or maybe they’re hills. At 700M that’s fairly high I suppose.

There were a fair few people there as the eclipse took place and they all left as it finished. The photo didn’t come out very well. I suppose a full eclipse would have photographed more effectively.

At just after midnight the Perseid meteor shower kicked in and Vaea and I watched for a while. Well, I watched and she chewed a log to be honest. I popped my GoPro on the roof and left it taking a timelapse. Not as good as I’d hoped but here it is for you to watch if you feel so inclined.
