Nürnberg

We found a parking spot next to the lake in Nurenberg with public transport within a minute or two and a nice lake to walk round. Dogs needed to be leashed but there were a couple of grassy areas where I could throw the frisbee for Vaea to get her some exercise. When she’s chasing a ball, stick or frisbee then she takes no notice of anything else, including other dogs or people.

Apparently, Nurenberg had the most intact city defensive wall in Europe and from what I saw I could believe that.

We spent an evening wandering around the town centre and the architecture was very impressive. If I hear the name the only thing that comes to mind is the Nazi trials but, not surprisingly there is so much more to the place when you investigate.

I did try and visit the Nazi rally grounds but they didn’t allow dogs.

From the outside we could see this.

Here are some picture of the town centre.

You’ll notice a couple of Geroge and the Dragon so it seems England is not the only place laying claim to him!

We’re doing a couple of hundred kilometres every other day. The driving is pretty boring but I do like the countryside which is heavily wooded over what seems most of Eastern Germany.
