To be clear; not loving being cold. Just, the cold, as in now.
The air crammed with oxygen. The clear horizon and crisp lines of the landscape. The crunch underfoot and firmness of the soil. Dogs wandering over the ground sniffing the scent of recently departed rabbits while puffing out plumes of moisture saturated doggy breath like a straining locomotive.

It was minus two last night and required the diesel heater to bring the temperature up to 22 before bed. Lunch and dinner was some lovely pies from the Crafty Café in Civray (thanks Simon). Lunchtime grasped and devoured but dinner with a steaming plate of mushy peas with mint sauce. I found that the dried split peas can be soaked for a few hours then cooked until they turn into close to perfect mushy peas.

We just came away from a couple of days stop over near Civray. It was good to see a few people but not long enough to catch up with everyone. As Arnie said….”I’ll be back”.
One of the highlights was taking Murphy out for a walk with our three. We had a proper “pack” going in.

That tongue is a fearsome weapon!
We leave the outskirts of Alencon now and head for Dieppe.
