Email notifications update.
I’m ditching the mailshot service. I’ve moved the subscribers from there into this site’s subscriber list.
My posts are so infrequent I thought an email each time I added a new one was reasonable. Also, one less job for me to do.
Feel free to add yourself using the email field below or remove yourself using the link on the email when it arrives.
On with the story…….
We’ve been in Czechia for some time now. The last stop was a very nice campsite next to a brewery. Lovely and peaceful. There was a bar and snack bar on the site which we visited a couple of time.
Here are some photos of the local town which was quaint.

There was a DJ event next to the campsite. I saw the poster and thought I’d mosey on down. However, I moseyed back to Lorenzo when I realised that “oldies” was referring to the 80’s and 90’s music and not the attendees. Hanging around a lot of revelling teenagers as an older single man is not a good look. At least they had good taste in music.
I spent a few days installing my GPS tracker properly. It’s been connected to the ODB2 connector and sitting on the dash since I got it. Worked well enough but hardly difficult to spot should someone half inch the vehicle.
Now it’s hidden inside the dash and wired directly into the fuse box. Contract has another 4 years to run and it runs 24/7.

The most valuable item is my laptop so I have to have that protected. The hard drive is encrypted so if it gets stolen then they can’t get at anything. The nature of my work means this has to be the case.
I also subscribed to an HP service that lives inside the hardware. If I report it stolen, it reports its position as soon as it has an Internet connected. This is impossible to disable and still works even if the thief changes the hard drive and installs a new operating system from scratch.
And not…..to Poland.
