OK. I’ve not posted for a while. Hell of a while in fact.
In fact, six months or so!
The last post was near Nottingham and since then, I’ve been up to Scotland to stay with Mel and Robin (and family) and then down to Wales to stay in Swansea with Martin and Sarah. Then down to the south of England to visit Les and Yvonne and catch a ferry back to France.
By the end of March we were back in Civray to throw my 60th birthday party which was great. Adrian flew over and all my kids were back. Many people came for which I was most grateful and very pleased.
The intention was, after Chloé’s birthday on the 9th, was to head to Italy and spend a week or so with my buddies doing a little cycling. However, as you may know, I was not happy with Lorenzo. He was too tall and a bugger to drive in the windy weather. The space up high in the back was not required and I think the large frontal area was probably a factor in the poor fuel consumption.
So….I parked up at Donna and Brett’s place and spent a good six weeks on a combination of excellent socialisation and modifications. I thought it would take a long weekend rather than six weekends.
Italy didn’t happen but I’m more than pleased with the updates on Lorenzo.
Roof Chop
It’s only a 35cm reduction but I think it makes a big difference. Driving in high winds over the last few days wasn’t the protracted sphincter flexing it was before the cut and chop.

Desk and work surface.

Bike rack and door.

More electrical tidying.

Nice update ! Big fan of the use of space and the bike rack ! You should link Vaea’s @maladjusted.dog account here
Excellent progress Andrew , the honeycomb tops look great.
So where in the world are you now ?
Where’s Vaea ??
Skylights make such a dramatic difference I feel.
Yes, they do. Both for light and circulation. So good to have both blackout and bug screens that can slide over too.
My current van has a skylight, a tiny one, but for ventilation etc it’s been well used. I’m going for a respray in 2 weeks, full mural style. 🤩
