Lorenzo was fitted with a fridge unit to keep the cargo cool. While it worked well it was heavy, very noisy, used a lot of power and was comple overkill for keeping it cool enough for us to live in.
So….it had to go. I had it listed on Leboncoin for some time and had lots of enquiries but only a few days did someone get in touch with the equipment to recover the refrigerant, was willing to remove it and also pay for the unit.
The system consists of two units, one outside and one inside. Furthermore it’s connected to an aircon compressor on the engine, double 12V lead acid batteries and a three phase input for when parked up.
Here’s what is looked like on Lorenzo on the outside.

So, last night we drove the 72km to just outside Congnac, arriving at 7pm and Tony and I dismantled everything.
It took three hours of hard work.

The 80+ Kg up that high that has gone is noticeable while driving and allows me some more payload…..phew
Now Lorenzo looks like this. Might need a clean next.
