Eastern France

Working our way across France and the roads are exceptional. I’m avoiding the peage and straight, quite, well surfaced roads are a joy to drive on.

Below are two photo reels of Autun, where we spent 2 days and Belfort, where we’re parked now. Autun was very pretty with a lot of Roman history and remains including the largest Roam auditorium in Europe (I think), a temple to Janus and another impressive structure I can’t recall it’s purpose.

Today we’re parked up in Belfort. Not a town I was aware of but the Lion mascot seems familiar. The fortifications are very impressive and we had a walk round the town centre this morning where there was a huge broccante filling most of the centre. We enjoyed a couple of pain au chocolats and a cappuccino.

More photos from this morning in case you can be bothered.
