I’m spending some time throwing the ball for Vaea at night and my white head torch just makes me a target for moths. Load of effin moths. So, I switched to the red bulb which seemed to help a little.
Made the dog look a bit evil though!
Actually, the best bit, which I couldn’t catch on video, was two red eyes advancing rapidly toward me out of the darkness.
Oooops!
Unfortunately, we had a slight mishap yesterday. Out walking in the morning and she flushed a deer out of the cornfield and chased it into the woods.
When she returned after not catching it, I noticed blood on her collar and after a brief panic realised that she’d just ripped her ear on something as she had run through the woods.
The problem was when she sat in the campsite bathroom waiting for me to finish in the shower she shook herself a couple of times leaving a Jackson Pollock artwork round the room with her blood.
Most of it, as you’d expect in a bathroom, cleaned off easily. But two walls were painted in matt emulsion yellow…..damn!
