We are working our way across Germany. The roads are really good quality, nary a pothole to be seen. No speed limit on the motorways and many of them have overtaking limits operating during the day which, unlike the N10 in France, people adhere to. So if you have a lorry, motorhome, trailer or another vehicle I forget you have to stay in the inside lane.
No photos of scenery as there’s been nothing exceptional to be honest.
Fuel is €1.80 per litre for diesel and petrol is more expensive. Happy with that for now.
Stopped at the Waku warehouse to pick up some ladders. They are €700 on Amazon in France and €520 mail order in Germany but they discounted them down to €390 for me as well as letting me use their toilet, drink their coffee and we had a nice chat too. Made in Germany so really happy. They fold in half and collapse down to just over a metre tall and weigh 13Kg. So, “That’s a bingo!”

WTF!
Stopped in Lidl for a few supplies and picked up a carton of eggs.
I assumed they were just painted but on scanning the text with my phone translation app they are pre-boiled and there was a small sachet of salt inside. Good for two weeks unrefrigerated as well.
It seems the “varnish” on the shell helps to seal it after the cooking to retain the protective barrier to the environment. After a little research there are some interesting points about egg storage relating to washing, refrigeration and storage. Always learning……
